“Move Fast and Break Things” is a sexy way to run Google but for a search firm owner…not so much. Yet for the last few years search firms have added expensive Tech their recruiters HAD to have paid sourcers (both domestic and abroad) to do parts of the process a recruiter should be able to handle up to a high revenue level, and thinking the windfall Post Pandemic Market would magically not shift.
We hired candidate side recruiters, ignored their lack of BD and closing expertise, and oh yeah…eliminated draws and went to a High Base Model which is fine until the revenue drops.
